Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

The Children of Israel delivered from Egypt were born into bondage.  Jacob and his seventy descendants had walked into Egypt to escape the famine when Joseph was Pharaoh’s second in command. They were fruitful and increased greatly; multiplied and grew exceedingly strong and filled the land. Then a Pharaoh arose who did not know Joseph and set taskmasters over them to afflict them with heavy burdens. You too might be in situation, that is generational in nature has its roots in your past and replicates itself into your future.  The devil delights in magnifying our past so that he can keep, us from going forward.  But the devil is a liar.  The world to loves to label us and refer to our past weaknesses, but that is not your portion.

After 430 years the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help and their cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.   The descendants of Jacob rejected 430 years of bondage and turned to God for deliverance.

As I struggled after miscarriage, I met someone who was quick to draw parallels with a history of barrenness and miscarriages in my family.  I rejected Satan’s report declaring it was not my portion.  Today I come to stir you up to draw a line in the sand put a stop on this age-old bondage.   Enough is enough! Let us cry out to the Lord as the children of Israel did that these generational curses cease today!  It does not matter how long the curse have ravaged your bloodline.  Command the ancient gates to be lifted up.

I am not unaware of the counter offensive the everlasting doors will launch to perpetuate their hold.  Even after the death of the first born, Pharaoh pursued the children of Israel.  But that was the last epic battle for the Lord triumphed gloriously and the horse and rider were cast into the deep never to arise again.

Be you lifted up ancient gates that the King of Glory may come in!   Be lifted up you everlasting gates that the King of Glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Prayer

Satan, this day we declare war on all curses and bondage passed down from generation to generation.  We invoke the covenant we have in the blood of Jesus who redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.  I mark an end to the past.  Be you lifted up ancient gates that the King of Glory may come in!   Be lifted up you everlasting gates that the King of Glory may come in!  The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
