Genesis 50:20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
When Joseph landed in jail after fleeing Potiphar’s wife, he had no idea that he had entered the gateway into his destiny, the doorway to Pharaoh’s palace. This is true for many of us facing peril. Some of you run into the River of God’s Presence because AIDS was chasing you, barrenness was chasing you and even when you arrived, the enemy of HIV is still on your heels, the enemy of barrenness is still pursuing you; poverty has continued the chase. Your taskmaster is the highway to your destiny. Sometimes you need a Pharaoh to make you uncomfortable. Sometimes you need a Pharaoh to drive you to desperation. Sometimes you need a taskmaster to shake you out of your comfort zone so that you can walk into what God has prepared for you
Today I want to pay tribute to every taskmaster, to the Pharaoh of barrenness that enslaved me, to the miscarriage taskmaster, to those who rejected me, to everyone who slandered me and soiled my reputation! I come to say thank you for pushing me to prayer, you pushed me to fasting, you pushed me to seeking God’s face, and pushed me into His presence. The more you chased me, the more I sought God! I am where I am today because you hounded me on every side. Every exit was an entry. For those of you who have been wondering what do with the Egyptians who are whipping you, run to the river of life where Pharaoh’s horse and chariots cannot swim.
Joseph said to his brothers whatever you meant for evil God turned it around for our good. Pharaoh drove the children into the Red Sea, the Holy Ghost set up. Friend, you are not just running from my enemy, the enemy is pushing you to your destiny.
I speak to every afflicter who has kept me awake, driven me to desperation and shaken me from my comfort zone. Thank you from driving me to despair. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available. The I AM has heard my cry, He will stretch out His hand and strike you as He struck Egypt with signs and wonders after that you will let me go.
